The Crash Course series invites HBS professors who are prominent in the impact investing space to hold workshops and sessions with members focusing on specific topic areas. Prior speakers include Shawn Cole, George Serafeim, and Brian Trelstad. 

Throughout the year, the club holds several intimidate roundtable discussions with practitioners who can speak about their work in the field. Past guests include Smitha Das from Social Finance, Chris Wu from Impact Engine, and Mike McCreless from Impact Management Project. 

Twice a year, the club organizes a career trek to a chosen city (historically, Boston and New York) and go around to visit the prominent impact investing firms. Not only do students get to know more about the firms we partner with, they also get to submit their CVs in a specially tailored resume book.  

Members can sign-up to take part in the club's mentorship program, where they are paired with an HBS alumni whose work and interests align with theirs. Several students have gotten internship offers and independent projects set-up through their mentors. Others use this as a way to talk through their career paths within their space with a verified expert. 

HBS participates annually in the MBA Impact Investing Network and Training competition, where they form small groups of three of four and conduct diligence on target companies to pitch for investment. The winning Harvard team gets to compete in the national event, for the chance to have their chosen company receive VC funding. 

For members who want to learn how to conduct diligence and weigh decisions around "investments" but do not want to participate in MIINT, they have the option of joining the grant-making team of the Harbus Foundation. Through this team, they will vet non-profits throughout Boston to receive up to $50,000 in funding.
